Nantwich railway station, which was opened on 2 September 1858, serves the town of Nantwich in Cheshire, and is on the Crewe to Shrewsbury line. It has two platforms and was formerly the junction for the Great Western Railway route to Wellington via Market Drayton until 1963. ==Services==
The station is served both by the two-hourly Crewe to Shrewsbury stopping trains and some longer distance workings between and (with some extensions further west to & ) on Mondays to Saturdays.〔GB National Rail Timetable, May 2013; Table 131〕 There is an infrequent service (five trains each way) on Sundays.
